Marcio RM is a professional photographer since 1982 and worked for the most important brazilians magazines and newspapers (Veja, Isto É, O Estado de São Paulo and Folha de São Paulo), as well as companies like Petrobras.

He is dedicated to develop and implement documentary projects and has participated in more than 80 exhibitions, including one man and group throughout Brazil and abroad (Portugal and Japan).

Realized 42 solo exhibitions in 18 cities in Brazil (Rio de Janeiro, Niterói, Paraty, São João de Meriti, São Gonçalo, Nova Iguaçu, Teresópolis and Cabo Frio / RJ, Belém / PA, Aparecida / SP, Porto Alegre / RS, São Luís / MA, Brasilia / DF, Tiradentes and Juiz de Fora / MG, Aracaju / SE, São Félix and Salvador / BA).

He had 41 photographs acquired by Gilberto Chateaubriand to integrate his collection of Brazilian art (most important private art collection in the country, with more than 7,000 works).

Develops Recorte Popular ( Popular Cut ), a mapping of popular festivals in Brazil.

Marcio's major interest is to document moments in the history of the brazilian people, and therefore of his country, Brazil.
